Open Shut vs Open Closed

I live in a neighborhood with a local coffee shop down-the-street. The proprietor signals he is ready to do business with an OPEN sign and he is done for the day when it says SHUT.
For years I had been driving by and just recently questioned the difference between being SHUT or CLOSED as most companies signal they are done for the day.
In today's market, there is a lot of difference- CLOSED seems so much more ominous and final, a signal that there is no more tomorrows to face. SHUT seems to say, not now, but check us out, we are coming back in the morning.
It maybe a little thing, but how often are we sending mixed messages about how badly we want to do business, to be the service or products provider, to be the solution to a need?
A quote attributed to Henry Ford says, “Stopping advertising to save money is like stopping a clock to save time." Maybe another way to say it is, "Stopping advertising is like saying you are CLOSED and expect business to continue."
Look for a brighter tomorrow; find ways to send a message of encouragement, stability and professionalism- you and your brand deserve the difference!

ECO IS HOT! According to industry surveys, 45% of consumers in the 11 Western states have a stronger impression of advertisers who use and promote environmentally friendly products. *                   It's not like the "old days" when eco products were scratchy, poor quality and unappealing.
NDS is 2 days away from hosting one of the largest promo shows in NorCal- some call what we sell "trash-n-trinkets", but the size and impact of the industry shows it's far more than that- just look at what the ASI Industry Impressions Study* revealed for the lifetime number of impressions by product.  What else can you think of that has the reach and impact as promotional items, most of us aren't "influencers" but we still influence many around us by what we wear, handout or sell.  As you walk about, consider all the billboards (people you pass) and what they are advertising and ask, "how can I get them to rock my brand?" Maybe a lot easier than you think, just need to find the right product and message and you can be memorable!  Oh, we'd be honored to help you along the way~ *Source ASI 2023 Impressions Study
Sometimes life feels like speedway bikes, 0-60mph in 3 seconds, with NO BRAKES! Part of being successful in business and life in general, is to not let the rush overwhelm you that you lose sight of the goal, that you miss the journey as well. Coach John Wooden said it best, "Be quick but don't hurry"  It's summer, lot of great opportunities ahead, kick it into gear and enjoy the ride!
